Over 55 Years of Family-owned Automotive Expertise in the Kootenays
Family owned and operated for more than 55 years, Western Auto Wreckers & Towing has proudly served Nelson and the Kootenays with responsible auto disposal, quality used auto parts, professional towing, and dependable automotive services for three generations.
Beginning with father and son Oscar and Clint Scanlon and a converted 1954 Ford one-ton truck, the business has grown from a small family operation into a trusted full-service provider. Today, Western Auto Wreckers & Towing operates a 14-acre auto wrecking facility, a large towing fleet, and state-of-the-art equipment to serve customers throughout the region.
Current owners Clint Scanlon and Cory Scanlon continue the family tradition established by their father and grandfather by remaining closely connected to the community through local charitable organizations and sponsorship of Nelson's youth soccer and hockey teams.
